Stratos Escrow began operations in Costa Rica in 2012. Its partners are all professionals with extensive experience in escrow services, and they expanded their operations to El Salvador in 2025.

The company was created to fill a gap in the Costa Rican market for custody services focused on the high-profile corporate and business segment.

The team at Stratos Fiduciaria brings over 50 years of expertise in managing fiduciary matters and third party funds for both national and international clients.

Esteban Rodríguez Varela

Founding Partner

Esteban has over 20 years of experience in the fiduciary and real estate markets. He previously worked as Trust Director at Stewart Title Costa Rica. He has led the structuring of trusts and fund custody transactions exceeding $2 billion. He currently oversees the firm's overall operations.

Orlando López Pacheco

Founding Partner

With a strong background in the banking and financial sectors, Orlando has been involved in finance and real estate since 1993.

From 2004 to 2012, he held the positions of General Director of Stewart Title Costa Rica and Regional Director for Central America at Stewart Title Latin America.

He has structured numerous trusts, management, and escrow transactions for both national and international banks and financial institutions, totaling over $2 billion. He has also served on the boards of various financial and non-financial companies.
